It's that time when everyone's getting ready to go back to school. 8-9 hours of sitting there and staring at someone who is yakking away. Don't get me wrong. I did my time in college++.
I have alot of issues with the educational system. There are many children who are extremely bright but they "are" the child left behind since the teachers must now teach the curriculum that they are told to, to the children that aren't so bright. Therefore, alot of bright children are bored, bored,bored. With that said I'll go on to
Subject #2 - I tutored in FL last year where a 10 yr. old boy had sat in 1st grade for 4 + yr.'s not understanding a word of English that the teacher spoke. However sad this was I'm proud to say that after I had tutored him for only 3 months he was able to go onto 2nd grade.
There are thousands others like him throughout our country. Not just Hispanic that need help. We need to make a change. Where do you think we should start? I'm tutoring but I want to do more.
